Monkey D Luffy

Monkey D Luffy as the main protagonist in One Piece ate the Paramecia-type devil fruit, Gomu Gomu No Mi.

This fruit turns the user into a rubber man. With this fruit, Luffy can lengthen his entire body. The whole body including even the vital parts.

Maybe some OPlovers have wondered why Oda gave Luffy the power of rubber, why not the power of fire or something like that? Here mimin tries to discuss it...
Luffy vs Doflamingo

According to mimin Oda has 2 reasons. During an interview, Oda once said that he could no longer think of a power more ridiculous than rubber.
And with that in mind, Oda gave Luffy the power of rubber. This is the first reason.
The second reason is that Oda once said that not to make the main character too strong, such as Akainu.
If you make the main character too strong, then the anime series will finish faster. That way the reason Oda sensei gave Luffy the power of rubber is so that Luffy is not too strong and makes the One Piece series finish faster.

Luffy vs Doflamingo

Even so, the actual power of rubber is really great. For example, it is not susceptible to electricity even though it is millions of volts or is resistant to blows (if not filled with haki) and can also attack opponents from afar.
Do OPlovers have any other opinions?
