If OPlovers still remember the storyline in the Marine Ford Arc, there are several stories about other characters including Shanks.
Shanks as one of the Yonkou can certainly realize all his wishes. But there is one wish from Shanks that arguably will not be realized. What is it? let's discuss....
As one of the Yonkou, Shanks can fulfill all his wishes even though Shanks is actually not as greedy as other Yonkou (Big Mom, Kaido, Blackbeard).
Among the Yonkou, Shanks doesn't seem to have a specific goal like Kaido who wants to organize a big war or Big Mom who wants to gather all the races on his island.

In the Marine Ford plot, after Ace and Shirohige's death, Shanks stopped the war and buried Ace and Shirohige.
At that moment, Shanks said to himself that he was surprised by what Ace had done. Shanks was surprised because Ace was very similar to Captain Roger who always defended his friends.

At that moment, Shanks also said that he really wanted to see Captain Roger run away from battle even though his wish was never realized because Roger never ran away from battle. After Roger's death, it is certain that Shanks' wish will never be realized.
