Doku Doku No Mi, Paramecia Often Considered Logia

When the One Piece anime arrives at the Impel Down Arc, we are introduced to the character Magellan. Magellan is the head warden of Impel Down prison who ate the Doku Doku No Mi fruit. This fruit turns the user into a poison man. 

With this power, Magellan almost defeated Kurohige. If there was no antidote, Kurohige would have died long ago.

There is a debate among OPlovers that this fruit is a logia type instead of Paramecia. Why is that debate happening? Let's discuss

Magellan

In the Impel Down arc, Magellan covered his entire body in poison. On this basis, some OPlovers assume that Magellan's power is of the Logia type. However, some other OPlovers say Magellan's power is Paramecia because Magellan cannot turn part or all of his body into poison.

So which is correct, Logia or Paramecia? The correct one is Paramecia. The reason is that Magellan can only produce poison and manipulate it, it cannot turn into poison itself.

Luffy vs Magellan

If this fruit was of the Logia type, then Magellan should not have needed to withstand Luffy's blows (at that time Luffy was given wax armor by Mr.3 and had not yet been introduced to haki).

The conclusion is that this fruit is Paramecia type (probably Special).
