Luffy is the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. Luffy is a cheerful and careless person although sometimes he is very wise.

Luffy ate the Paramecia-type devil fruit, the Gomu Gomu No Mi Fruit. This fruit makes the user turn into a rubber man. Luffy can extend all of his limbs.

Luffy is currently valued by the Navy at 1.5 billion berries (in the manga) and still 500 million berries in the anime. Luffy's huge bounty value makes him one of the most expensive pirates. And predicted to become Gokou (Fifth Emperor).

In addition, Luffy is the son of Monkey D. Dragon, a Revolutionary Leader and grandson of Monkey D. Garp, a Navy Vice Admiral. And also has adopted siblings namely Portgas D.Ace and Sabo.
